There is no question that this one called Jesus was beyond anything our human minds can fully comprehend. Just as in the Islamic faith there are 99 names for God, it is thought that there are over 200 names for Jesus. What does Jesus mean to you in 2014? We began this month with Jesus's language and his rich cultural background. We will end this month with questions regarding the present day legacy of Jesus. April 13: Did He Really Say That? Aramaic Jesus

Join us for PALM Sunday. Did you ever play the children's game Telephone? One person tells someone next to her something, then that person tells the next. On down the line this goes until it ends with the last person trying to repeat what the first person said. I think most of us know how well this goes. Imagine playing this game with people who speak a different language, who come from a completely different cultural background and decades pass between each person passing the message. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened with Jesus's message. So how can we really know what the message was, what it was meant to convey and what it might mean in this era? Come reason with us the possibilities.

We begin our month long mini-study into the Aramaic Jesus, Jeshua. This Reasoning will preview the roots, language and culture of Jesus. Before anyone can truly reject, embrace or conjecture about Jesus, it is good to understand his language as best we can. Aramaic is a poetic three dimensional language that vibrates from deep within.
