April 3: The Crucifixion Story

The month of April is filled with Christian tradition. It started last month with Lent. Then Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter morning. It is all about the life of a man called Jesus. A man of mystery and mysticism. This month’s reasonings will be dedicated to some of the Life and Teachings of Jesus.

Instead of ending the month with this story, Sherry has chosen to begin the series with this story. It is central to most Christian thought. Sherry asks the question, What is the Truth? A man whose life was about love and healing has a religion named after him that is about one of the most bloody abusive acts of humanity. We will look at this story from the Biblical, historical and metaphorical contexts.
